Mixing
Mixing is the process of editing the dynamic range, volume, pan, EQ, and other aspects of each individual track for a piece to ensure all the instruments/tracks blend together in a pleasing manner. While mixing is a subjective process and each mixer has individualized goals for what the "perfect" mix sounds like, the general goal is for each instrument/track to be audible while retaining clarity.
