* [[#Gain Staging|Gain Staging]] - If you don't set the loop send/receive or otherwise gain stage your effects incorrectly, you will get clipping, which is probably going to sound terrible for the type of effects you'd use here.
* Quality of Effects - Even if an effect is off or has mix set to 0%, it doesn't mean it is guaranteed to be completely transparent. Having poor quality effects in your loop can kill your tone.
