==== Beat ====
The most basic unit of time for music. Tempo is often listed in terms of beats per minute, and time signatures are listed in terms of beats per measure. In 4/4 time, each measure has 4 beats and each quarter note has a duration of 1 beat. A metronome often is set to click once per beat.
==== Bright ====
Refers to a tone that emphasizes higher frequencies over lower ones. In reference to distortion, a bright distortion will often sound [[#Crunchy|crunchy]], perhaps even [[#Grinding|grinding]]. The low-end will be "tight" and have more focus, not [[#Fuzzy|fuzzy]].
Opposite of [[#Dark]].
