Another meaning is an indicator ("{{s}}") that means to raise a note by one half-step. Ex. A{{s}} is a half-step higher than A. Multiple sharp symbols can be used to indicate pitches even higher. Ex.
A{{s}}{{s}} * is the same pitch as B, while A{{s}}{{s}}{{s}} * is the same pitch as C. ''* There is actually a double-sharp symbol that looks similar to an "x" but I don't have a good representation.''
