Have Amps, Will Profile: BE100 Phase 8 In this session we will start making profiles based on what we've learned so far. I normally profile amps at various gain levels in increments of one but that would be a ton of profiles with both channels and all of the options. So, I am going to try and profile with the gain at 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 and see how that goes. We will make profiles of each channel, with the Voice switch to the left and to the right, we will also make profiles with the C45 off and on, and the C45 and SAT both off and on. For this test I am using firmware version 2.7.4 Release, the same firmware that I've used for previous HAWP BE100 sessions. I went through the last few posts looking for what tone settings everyone wanted, I ended up splitting the difference so these settings are not exactly what anyone asked for, they are a compromise. Here are the amp tone settings: Bass = 6.5 Mid = 7 Treb = 6.5 Pres = 6 Master Vol = 3.5 Here are the mic positions and mix: Shure SM57 & Audio Technical AT4040. SM57 was 2" from the front of the speaker frame, 1/2 inch from the edge of the dome, angle = 0deg, level = 0dB. AT4040 was 2" from the front of the speaker frame, 1" from the edge of the dome, angle = 0deg, level = -5dB, Treble = -5 (on the mixer). Mic's were ran into an Allen Heath Mix Wizard 16:2 and then into the KPA. Sorry for the cryptic file names, I'm trying to fit all of the required info on the screen... Here is what the file names mean: HAWP8F HBE4 VLC0S0 (Full profile, HBE Gain-4, Voice=Left, C45=Off, SAT=Off) HAWP8D HBE7 VRC1S1 (DI profile, HBE Gain-7, Voice=Right, C45=On, SAT=On) HAWP8M BE6 VRC1S0 (Merged profile, BE Gain-6, Voice=Right, C45=On, SAT=Off) EDIT: I intended on making a duplicate set of DI profiles but I'm thinking that it would be a lot of wasted time due to the number of profiles involved, so I am skipping the DI profiles. We can make whatever DI profiles you guys want, but we'll make them on a case by case basis. So, this session will only include the HAWP8F profiles and not the HAWP8D or HAWP8M profiles, sorry for the confusion :) EDIT: If you notice, "HAWP-8F HBE10 VLC1S1" and "HAWP-8F HBE10 VRC1S1" are not included, this is because the Kemper said that the amp was too noisy, so it would not profile the amp at these settings. EDIT: Added "HAWP8F HBE06 VLC0S1" and "HAWP8F HBE06 VRC0S1" as per LiamThompson's request.
